 Genealogy Classes
 

 

The following genealogy classes are taught quarterly:
 

Genealogy Basics

This class includes a discussion of how to begin your family history research, as well as a tour of the Local History & Genealogy Center focusing on the major print, microform and digital resources unique to research in Trumbull County.

 
Ancestry Library Edition

Participants will learn how to use the library’s subscription database to find census, marriage, death, birth, military and immigration records, and how to refine their searches. Those taking the class should be familiar with navigating a computer using a mouse.

 
Beyond Ancestry

This class will teach participants to use the library’s subscription databases Heritage Quest, Genealogy Connect: Immigration and Access Newspaper Archive, plus selected free sites from the Helpful Websites section of our webpage. Those taking the class should be familiar with navigating a computer using a mouse.
