The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle by Arthur Conan Doyle
Saturday, Dec. 27
Main Library in Warren
An invited "cast" will read the different parts of the story, accompanied by music and sound effects, so that the experience for the audience will be similar to listening to an old-time radio drama.
The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle was described by the great Sherlockian scholar Christopher Morley as "Surely one of the most unusual things in the world: A Christmas story without slush."
This Reader's Theater version is a dramatization by Donald Novorsky prepared directly from the original text.
Free; no reservations required.
