Things to do for adults, teens, and children at the Cortland Branch Library.
The first branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library was opened in Cortland during October 1977, housed in an old bookmobile parked in Willow Park. The library was later relocated to a rented house, then to a building at 212 North High Street, which opened in December 1984. The branch expanded in 1991. The building was named in honor of the Viets sisters of Cortland, who generously donated land where the library was located.
The site of the current building at 578 Lakeview Drive is on 2.82 acres of land that the W-TCPL purchased in 2001 in anticipation of a new Cortland Branch Library. Ground was broken in late August 2011, and the Grand Opening for the new library was held on June 9, 2012.
