Summer Reading Programs
Fun for all ages!
The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library offers 8-week Summer Reading Programs at the Main Library in Warren, branch libraries in Brookfield, Cortland, Howland, Liberty, and Lordstown, and on the Bookmobile.
The Summer Reading Programs provide an opportunity for children, teens, and adults to join in a fun activity and earn prizes along the way!
Children's Summer Reading Programs
The Tadpole Club is for babies from birth to 35 months old and highlights literacy-based activities.
Children age 3 through those entering grade 6 can track time spent reading at home to earn prizes. After children have filled up two folders by reading for the first 16 hours and have collected their prizes, they can keep on reading; for every 4 hours they read after that, their name will be entered in weekly drawings for more exciting prizes!
Special support for the Children's Summer Reading Program was provided by the Friends of the Warren Library.
Teen Summer Reading Program
The program is for all teens entering seventh grade to those who just graduated. Every book, graphic novel, comic book, magazine, eBook, or audio book teens read counts!
Teens can fill out an entry form for each time they finish reading something, so there are many chances to win. There will be weekly drawings for prizes, plus three grand prizes will be awarded at the end of the summer.
Adult Summer Reading Program
Adults 18 and older may fill out an entry form for each book or eBook they read or audio book they listen to during the program and enter for a chance to win. At the end of Adult Summer Reading, each library location will award one grand prize.
