PLEASE NOTE: On this form, we welcome brief questions or requests for copies of local obituaries. We are unable to answer questions with non-specific data, too little information provided, or questions that require extensive research. Please use our online obituary indexes to locate citation information.
Examples of unacceptable questions:
I am looking for the parents of Jane doe. She was born in Trumbull County.
I am searching for information on the family of John and Jane Doe of Trumbull County. Whatever you can send me will be appreciated.
I need information on the social contributions of the various ethnic groups in the county. I need this for a research paper. Please send me whatever you can find.
To help us answer your questions more efficiently, please fill out the form completely. Items marked with asterisks (*) are required. We must have your COMPLETE and CORRECT email address to reply to your question.
Up to 5 names per request may be submitted, and subsequent requests for copies should be made only after copies from a previous request have been received. There is no charge for copies sent by email. Copies sent by postal mail are $1 per page. 1-5 printed pages will be mailed with an invoice. Requests requiring the copying of more than 5 printed pages will require prepayment and a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Customers should withhold payment until being notified of the number of pages printed and the amount due.

Copies sent by email: No charge

The W-TCPL reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if in our judgement, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of the copyright law.
Staff will attempt to send copies within one week of receipt of request.
Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions:
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
