The Brookfield Branch Library opened in February 1982, the second branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library. It occupied several rented storefront locations before moving into a new 2,000 square foot library-owned facility in February 1990. The branch expanded in 1999, adding a 2,800 square foot addition.



As a popular reading center, the Brookfield Branch features a small collection of reference and local history materials. A more extensive reference collection is available at the Main Library at 444 Mahoning Ave. NW in Warren.

Materials available at the library include:

  • Adult/teen/children’s fiction and non-fiction books
  • Magazines/newspapers
  • Music CDs
  • Audiobooks
  • Entertainment and educational videos, including DVDs
  • Graphic novels
  • Large print books

Public Computers
Each library location has free public computer stations with Internet and word processing capabilities. Cutomers are limited to two one-hour sessions per day. Customers must have a valid W-TCPL library card in their own name and not in collections to use public computers. Computer users must abide by the library's computer usage policy. Reservations for a computer may be made up to one day in advance by calling the library location.

  • Black and white/color printing is available on a central printer for a fee per page.
  • Library staff will provide limited assistance to public computer users.
  • Dedicated computer stations for teens and children are also available at all locations.


Computer Classes

A variety of free computer classes, including a series of basic computer classes, are offered at many library locations throughout the year. Call (330) 399-8807, ext. 201 for class times, locations, and topics.

Special Services
The following special services are available at the Brookfield Branch Library:

  • Public copy machine (10¢ per copy)
  • Voter registration
  • Golden Buckeye card applications for eligible Ohio residents
  • Wi-Fi


FAX service

An easy-to-use, free-standing public FAX & Scan machine is now available for use at the library. Customers can now FAX documents or scan documents and send them to their email address.


The FAX & Scan kiosk is entirely self-sufficient; customers simply lift a handset and listen to the voice prompts to use the machine.


Customers cannot receive a FAX at the library; there is outgoing FAX service and scanning only.


The FAX & Scan kiosk accepts major credit cards and debit cards only; no cash. Cost is $1.75 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page; the charge to send an international FAX is $3.95 for the first page and $3.45 for each additional page.




Friends of the Brookfield Library
The Friends of the Brookfield Library is an active organization which usually meets quarterly (March, June, September, December) at the library. The Friends maintain an ongoing book sale at the library. For information about joining the Friends, call (330) 448-8134.
