Things to do for adults, teens, and children at the Liberty Branch Library. (Opens in a new window)


Liberty is the fifth branch location for the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library. The library opened to the public on Nov. 2, 1998 in a Liberty Plaza storefront offering some 3,500 square feet of space.  In October of 2000, the library purchased 1.86 acres of land near the site of the former Liberty High School on Churchill-Hubbard Road.  Construction on a new building began in 2002.  The new 10,000 square foot facility opened for business on May 19, 2003.



Materials available at the library include:

  • Adult/teen/children’s fiction and non-fiction books
  • Large print books
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers (including The Wall Street Journal, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and ValueLine)
  • Entertainment and educational videos in DVD, Blu-ray, and limited VHS tape formats
  • Music CDs
  • Audiobooks and Playaways
  • CD-ROMs
  • Graphic novels

 As a popular reading center, the Liberty Branch features a small collection of reference and local history materials. A more extensive reference collection is available at the Main Library at 444 Mahoning Ave. NW in Warren.


Public Computers

Each library location has free public computer stations with Internet and word processing capabilities. Cutomers are limited to two one-hour sessions per day. Customers must have a valid W-TCPL library card in their own name and not in collections to use public computers. Computer users must abide by the library's computer usage policy. Reservations for a computer may be made up to one day in advance by calling the library location.


  • Black and white/color printing is available on a central printer for a fee per page.
  • Library staff will provide limited assistance to public computer users.
  • Dedicated computer stations for teens and children are also available at all locations.

Computer Classes

A variety of free computer classes, including a series of basic computer classes, are offered at many library locations throughout the year. Call (330) 399-8807, ext. 201 for class times, locations, and topics.


Liberty Branch Programming


Storytimes and other programming for children is offered at each library location. Check the calendar for all events each month at this location.

Meeting Room/Study Room

A meeting room with a capacity of 40 adults is available at no charge for non-profit organizations on a limited basis.  Call (330) 759-2589 for scheduling information.

Special Services

The following special services are available at the Liberty Branch Library:

  • Public copy machine (fee per copy)
  • Voter registration
  • Golden Buckeye card applications for eligible Ohio residents
  • Free tax assistance provided by AARP beginning in early February
  • Eyeglass donation site for the Lions Club
  • Blood pressure screenings courtesy of the Liberty Fire Department EMTs are typically offered the third Wednesday of each month from 10:30 to 11 a.m.
  • Free Wi-Fi


FAX service


An easy-to-use, free-standing public FAX & Scan machine is now available for use at the library. Customers can now FAX documents or scan documents and send them to their email address.


The FAX & Scan kiosk is entirely self-sufficient; customers simply lift a handset and listen to the voice prompts to use the machine.


Customers cannot receive a FAX at the library; there is outgoing FAX service and scanning only.


The FAX & Scan kiosk accepts major credit cards and debit cards only; no cash. Cost is $1.75 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page; the charge to send an international FAX is $3.95 for the first page and $3.45 for each additional page.



Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Liberty Library typically meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every other month starting in January. The Friends hold an on-going book sale in the library meeting room. For more information about the Friends of the Liberty Library, call (330) 759-2589.
